Send Wishlist Item Removed Event to Klaviyo
Use this Shopify Flow template to send a Klaviyo event after a shopper removes an item from their wishlist in Wysh. By default, the event is sent immediately, making it easy to track changes in customer interest or build automation strategies around updated shopper preferences.
You can customize the workflow in Shopify Flow to match your specific marketing or segmenting strategy.
Before you start
Wysh must be installed and active on your Shopify store.
Shopify Flow must be available on your store so you can import and edit the workflow.
Klaviyo must be set up, and you will need your Klaviyo Public API Key to finish the workflow configuration.
The template sends a Klaviyo event for wishlist item removals. Once the event is being sent successfully, you can use it in Klaviyo to monitor shifts in user intent or update targeted customer segments.
Install the workflow
Download the template, extract the file, and then import it into Shopify Flow.
Download the ZIP folder using the link above, then extract (unzip) it on your computer to get the .flow file.
In your Shopify admin, open Shopify Flow.
Choose the option to import a workflow, then upload the extracted .flow file.
After import, confirm that the workflow includes the item removal trigger and the Klaviyo event action.
Customize the workflow
After importing the template, review and update the workflow settings before turning it on.
Add your Klaviyo Public API Key: Replace the placeholder value in the Klaviyo step with the Public API Key from your Klaviyo account.
Confirm the event name: The default event name is
Item removed from wishlist. Keep it as-is or rename it if you want to organize events differently in Klaviyo.Review the event details: Make sure the event includes the shopper and product information you want available in Klaviyo for your setup.
Adjust timing if needed: By default, this event is sent immediately. If you want to introduce a delay, you can add a wait step in Shopify Flow and set it to seconds, minutes, hours, days, or weeks.
If you want to track multiple types of removal behaviors, you can duplicate the workflow and assign different event names or delays based on custom conditions.
Turn it on
After updating the API key and any workflow settings, save the workflow in Shopify Flow.
Turn the workflow on so it can start listening for wishlist removal activity from Wysh.
Remove an item from a wishlist on your storefront as a test shopper, then confirm the workflow runs as expected and the event appears in Klaviyo.
If the workflow is not turned on, no Klaviyo events will be sent when products are removed from a wishlist.
What this workflow does
Once enabled, the workflow watches for shoppers who remove items from their wishlist in Wysh. It immediately sends a Klaviyo event with details about the shopper and the removed product. You can then use that event in Klaviyo to refine customer profiles, build clean segments, or adjust automated triggers based on active intent.
