Send Slack Message on Wishlist Item Removed
Use this Shopify Flow template to send a Slack notification automatically whenever a shopper removes an item from their wishlist in Wysh. By default, the message is sent immediately to your specified channel, giving your product and merchandising teams quick visibility into shifts in customer interest or catalog demand.
You can use our default message layout or completely customize the text to match your internal reporting style.
Before you start
Wysh must be installed and active on your Shopify store.
Shopify Flow must be available on your store so you can import and edit the workflow.
Slack must be integrated with your Shopify store, and you must have a specific channel ready (e.g.,
#wishlist-activityor#product-insights) where Shopify Flow can post messages.
The template sends a notification to Slack for wishlist item removals. Once configured, it helps your team track items that customers are dropping from their lists in real time.
Install the workflow
Download the template, extract the file, and then import it into Shopify Flow.
Download the ZIP folder using the link above, then extract (unzip) it on your computer to get the .flow file.
In your Shopify admin, open Shopify Flow.
Choose the option to import a workflow, then upload the extracted .flow file.
After import, confirm that the workflow includes the item removal trigger and the Slack message action.
Customize the workflow
After importing the template, review and update the workflow settings before turning it on.
Select your Slack channel: Open the Slack step in the workflow and choose the exact channel where you want these removal alerts to post.
Customize the message text: Review our default message copy. You can change this text block in Shopify Flow to include template variables, such as the specific product title, variant name, or customer contact details.
Filter your notifications: If you only want to monitor removals for high-value items, you can add an optional condition step to only send a message if the product price is above a certain amount.
Including variables like the product's SKU or variant title in your Slack message makes it easy for your merchandising team to track which specific variations are losing momentum.
Turn it on
After choosing your channel and tailoring the notification text, save the workflow in Shopify Flow.
Turn the workflow on so it can start listening for wishlist removal activity from Wysh.
Remove an item from a wishlist on your storefront as a test shopper, then confirm the message posts to your chosen Slack channel immediately.
If a valid Slack channel is not selected or the workflow is left disabled, no removal alerts will be pushed to your workspace.
What this workflow does
Once enabled, the workflow watches for shoppers who remove items from their wishlist in Wysh. It immediately packages the activity details—including the shopper and product information—into a clear notification and pushes it into your designated Slack channel. This gives your internal teams instant visibility into real-time catalog changes without leaving your daily chat application.
