Reward Points on LoyaltyLion on Wishlist Item Purchased
Use this Shopify Flow template to automatically reward your loyalty members whenever they complete a purchase on an item from their Wysh wishlist. By default, the workflow instantly awards 150 loyalty points to the customer, making it easy to incentivize and reward high-intent buying behavior that drives conversion revenue.
You can keep our default point value or customize the points and reward reasons to align with your overall loyalty program strategy.
Before you start
Wysh must be installed and active on your Shopify store.
Shopify Flow must be available on your store so you can import and edit the workflow.
LoyaltyLion must be connected directly to your Shopify store so Shopify Flow can seamlessly communicate with your loyalty program data.
The template pairs completed checkout orders with a customer's active wishlist data. Once configured, it dynamically tracks wishlist conversions and deposits points straight into the shopper's loyalty account.
Install the workflow
Download the template, extract the file, and then import it into Shopify Flow.
Download the ZIP folder using the link above, then extract (unzip) it on your computer to get the .flow file.
In your Shopify admin, open Shopify Flow.
Choose the option to import a workflow, then upload the extracted .flow file.
After import, confirm that the workflow includes the order trigger, the wishlist cross-reference check, and the LoyaltyLion point action.
Customize the workflow
After importing the template, review and update the workflow settings before turning it on.
Adjust the point value: The workflow defaults to awarding 150 points per conversion. You can modify this number inside the LoyaltyLion step to match your current points-to-currency reward values.
Update the reward reason: We pre-fill this field with a clear internal explanation for your tracking. You can rewrite this text to match your specific customer-facing ledger title or internal audit notes.
Leave the email field as-is: The customer email address field is already pre-populated with the exact template variable needed to accurately identify your loyalty program users. Do not alter or delete this variable, or the system will fail to link points to the correct profile.
Because LoyaltyLion features a native connection with your store, you don't need to hunt down API keys or security hashes. Simply make sure the app is fully set up in your Shopify store admin before turning the workflow on.
Turn it on
After updating your point quantities and reviewing the reward variables, save the workflow in Shopify Flow.
Turn the workflow on so it can start tracking successful wishlist checkout conversions across your storefront.
Place a test order on your storefront using an account that has that product saved to their wishlist, then confirm that the 150 loyalty points are successfully credited to that customer's LoyaltyLion profile.
If the workflow remains turned off, wishlist conversions will execute without depositing loyalty points, missing a key opportunity to reward customer retention.
What this workflow does
Once enabled, the workflow watches for completed checkout orders across your store. When an order includes a product variant currently saved to that specific customer's Wysh data, it triggers a point transaction. The system automatically pulls the shopper's email, matches it to their LoyaltyLion profile, and adds 150 points (or your custom value) to their account balances under your specified transaction reason.
